We formed Metanomy to provide news, information and analysis about technologies that we hope will help improve the world we live in. Specifically, we are interested in what we call low-friction innovation - Combining commodity hardware and open source software in novel, and we hope useful ways. We then test it in the context it was designed to be used and report our findings back to the public. It is our hope that we can help people and organizations get maximum impact for the least amount of resources when it comes to using technology to support environmental and social advancement.
