BeakGeek.org Beta Is Up
I spent a little time this week getting beakgeek.org back on track. I have decided to run the Managing News install profile for Drupal. Development Seed has done an excellent job with this platform and I think it will provide us with a great foundation to start building on.
OK, that's great. But WTF is BeakGeek??? BeakGeek is Metanomy's main program to support Citizen Science and Birding. The overall goal of BeakGeek is to allow people to use the tools they like best to share info about birds, collect it all, add a bit of structure, and put it on a map. There will be more to it in the future, but that is the general idea for now.
As always your feedback can help make a better mouse trap, so fire away.
