I recently had a conversation with a friend about using Twitter for more than just micro-blogging. Not that micro-blogging is not without merit, but I am looking to develop tech with a bit more social oomph than what I had for lunch. Veggie burrito by the way.

So now you start to see a temporary standard develop in order to support a specific activity - I like it. Good use of simple tools to provide a very transparent and citizen supported system. Is there noise? Sure, but I'll take the wisdom of crowds over corporate media outlets.
