Cam's Adventures

The First Week

This is a long - and overdue - post. Caveat Lector.

Apart from some specific meetings and basic infrastructure tasks, Moses and I had only a general sense of agenda. Because we've both traveled to other countries and cultures, we share not only a basic curiosity about how things and people work, but also a deep respect for the knowledge that can only come from immersive experience.

The First Day

Moses and I had a busy first day. Our priority was following Coby's mandate of "comms, lift, and power". So we rented a car, purchased SIM cards, and made sure we had the right cables and power adapters. I also activated an M-PESA (mobile money) account to get hands-on learning about this famous system (which already carries a higher transaction load than all global activities of Western Union).

Final Kenya Prep

Finalizing my prep to Kenya. All that is left is to brave the crowds and pick up a SPOT Connect.
